Vassoio Arcimboldo - Transparent

The vase and fruit tray of the Arcimboldo collection are the result of hand crafting combining precision and expressive freedom. They are blown in experimental moulds consisting of vertical steel plates. The blowing of the master glassmaker guides the expansion of the glass, yet always leaving it free to evolve in unique and unexpected forms between the plates, creating pieces that are never the same twice. The thin metal foot is characterized by five supports terminating in a palmate support. The combining of glass and metal is a feature of Produzione Privata, reaffirming their research to find a balance between materials with different strengths and tensions.
