RITUALS OF MAKING
Where craftsmanship goes on stage
Unveiling: 7th of April at 6:30PM
Exhibition: 8th – 12th April from 10AM to 7PM
Address: Via Varese 13, near Moscova Metro Station, Milan
Ten silent characters inhabit the set of Rituals of Making, a theatre play in which craftsmanship and experimentation are transformed into a story. A puppeteer with a long beard moves with slow, precise gestures, opening wooden caskets containing unexpected protagonists and concealing secret worlds.
Each opening is a ritual revealing complicity and contrasts, giving rise to a silent dance between the objects brought to life by the skilled hands of the talented puppeteer. Once freed, these unprecedented creations each reveal their own character, their intimate meaning and the invisible relationships that link them together.
The lightness of the Mongolfiera Family is contrasted with the material qualities of the Squadretta Sisters, the free spirit of Arcimboldo challenges the asymmetrical order of the Brothers Orazio and Catullo, the nomadic magic of George is in dialogue with the stable enchantment of Perseo.
A poetic journey between imagination and design that comes to life in the temporary space of Via Varese 13 in Milan.
