Produzione Privata at Orticolario 2024
Redazione
At the beginning of October, we made our way to Orticolario 2024, an immersive experience that celebrates beauty and nature in all its forms, a meeting place for lovers of beauty, innovation, and culture, where nature and art come together in an evocative and timeless experience.
Beauty resides in the passage, in transformation
The "Giardino dell'Impermanenza" is an invitation to contemplate the beauty of nature in its everyday and fleeting bloom.
The cut flowers gathered in the vases continue to express their beauty, albeit fleetingly. We wish they could last forever but will inevitably wither, losing their colour and fragrance. Yet, it is precisely in this withering that the flower fully expresses itself. Its transience enhances its beauty and value.
An invitation to pause and contemplate the surrounding nature
Furniture that transforms into timeless objects reflects a deep respect for the environment. The choice of untreated wood, assembled without glue or clamps, symbolizes a strong connection with the natural world.
Alpina encourages dynamic use of space; it is a bench that can be stacked to become a bookcase.
Designed by Michele De Lucchi and crafted by Riva 1920 for Orticolario 2024.
Architettura Fertile
Embrace temporality and participate in the continuous evolution of life. Today, the space we can free is much more important than what we build.
Leaveitbe, a circle drawn on the ground to define an inner space that will no longer be influenced and transformed by man. A space to be left untouched, where nature can unfold and life can flow.
During the exhibition, Michele De Lucchi was awarded the "Per un Giardinaggio Evoluto 2024" prize.
The prize consisted of a wooden miniature inspired by his 2011 work "Torre dell'Aria", created in collaboration with Riva 1920 for the Zoe Foundation.
The award was presented by Maurizio Riva.
